We’ve all hit those points in life when we forget our WHY. We become drowned in the politics and red tape and start to lose our voice. Not anymore! I remembered my WHY...because, kids.
Flame, Reignited
I remembered how I felt on graduation day, ready to jump into this dynamic world of education, thrilled to be all that I imagined, and dedicated to all of my students without even knowing their names. On that day I woke up. I felt the goosebumps as I recalled one of my second graders finally reading and beaming with pride. I teared up a little (yup, I'm that chick) revisiting a warm hug from one of my 5th graders with autism and seeing his mother realize he had never done that before. And with the rush of emotion my WHY came back. I am here, and have been here for ten years for one simple reason, the kids.
Reignite Your Flame
Then came COVID-19...don't even get me started. Yet we have a job..no, a mission to accomplish and it feels impossible. We're exhausted, worn down, discouraged, but there are their faces, their dreams, their untapped potential. I implore you to take some time and remenisce rediscover your WHY even if it has changed. Remember the good, pure, and outright hilarious moments of the children who came to you day after day becasue you believe in them. Reignite the Flame and get ready...this fire is spreading!!
