ABOUT US

 As a classroom teacher, I have had success in creating an enriching classroom environment that feeds students’ Social and Emotional Learning in positive ways incorporating yoga, mindfulness, and restorative justice, thus creating new pathways for students that last well beyond the classroom.  I have worked with students of various ages and with a variety of socioeconomic statuses. This teaching experience enabled me to utilize different approaches as I moved into School Transformation.

 

The School Transformation demands a person motivate and reengage teachers who felt overwhelmed with their workload and lack of results as well as ensure the academic success of students previously performing very low. I would spend hours analyzing the curriculum and instructional strategies teachers currently held to find areas where we could capitalize on students’ success by way of alignment to state standards, cognitively complex tasks, and texts, and the incorporation of collaborative learning to structure positive behaviors in classrooms.

 

Building the capacity of the teacher was not all it took. Through inclusive and transparent communication with administrators, data-driven decision making was at the core of this role. Truly understanding how and what to adapt to evoke change allowed my team and I to see success in these schools, teachers, and administration year after year.

Now, as a Change Management and Transformation expert I can proudly say that supporting any organization to drive sustainable results is not only my passion but an area of success. These tools acquired over the years allow me to engage in unique and strategic approaches to the business, and education field when applying best practices in topics such as Leadership, Talent Management, Workplace Culture, and Enterprise Transformation.
